Richeson: Orrery — Systems
Summary—A web console, a full-screen terminal seat, and a native museum interface — three faces on one read model, served by the warden. Zero dependencies, Rust.
An orrery is a clockwork model that shows many bodies at once and lets you turn a handle to see where they will be. That is the wall. The rest of the program grew out of wanting to reach through it.
Every node id, address and fact comes out of copal fleet state; a node that is not in that document cannot be dialled. A console that discovered nodes for itself would be a second fleet.
Highlights
- The wall: a web page for a gallery screen or a phone
- The seat: one node, full screen, in your terminal
- The museum interface: a native window with SSH, SFTP and RDP
